Glenlogan Park Stud will add the multiple stakes winner by Red Ransom to its roster this spring.

Red Element  will stand his initial season at an introductory price of $8000 plus GST and will be syndicated amongst breeders with a limited number of shares available.

Glenlogan Park's Jon Haseler said he had been keen to secure a son of the late Red Ransom for his Queensland stud.

“We have been actively pursuing a suitable son of Red Ransom to add to our stallion roster for quite some time now,” Haseler said.

“To be able to offer breeders one that, in our opinion, has a pedigree better than any other standing in the country is a real coup for both our clients and the farm.”

“With Red Ransom's sons going so well at present and his full sister Typhoon Tracy proving almost unbeatable on the track, we are obviously very excited about the future prospects of standing a horse with the depth of Red Element.”

Red Ransom passed away last year but his young sons at stud are making their mark and include Charge Forward, sire of Golden Slipper favourite Solar Charged, and Domesday.

Red Elements' trainer David Hayes is positive about the prospects of his former sprinter proving a success at stud.

“I have no doubt we never really got to see this horse reach his potential on the track,” Hayes said.

“There is no question that the horse had absolute Group One ability.

“ I think he is one of the most balanced and well conformed horses I have ever trained.

“In my opinion he ticks all the boxes and I will be really keen in the years to come to be get his offspring into my stables."

Glenlogan Park manager Steve Morley is also obviously optimistic about Red Element's future.

“He fits perfectly into our stallion roster and I am delighted to be promoting a sire with as much potential as this fellow has to offer,” Morley said.

“I am confident breeders will not find a better bred, or better looking, son of Red Ransom anywhere in the world.

“Red Element is therefore a wonderful addition to our roster and adds further depth to the sires we have who can compliment Northern Dancer line mares.”
