Race Synopsis:In a keenly contested finish where the first five finished less than a length apart, the Godolphin-raced gelding Duca Valentiniois scored, his eighth win and his fourth at stakes level in 47 starts. He raced in seventh place, on the rails, improved behind runners on straightening, eased into clear running at the 200m and then battled gamely under his top weight (59kg) to win in a photo. The favourite Take It Intern raced outside the leader (Lite'n In My Veins), got to a narrow lead halfway down the straight then fought gamely for a close second. Another Dollar had a nice trip in third place on the rails, got along the inner to challenge in the straight and then kept battling well for a close third while Cool Chap came from second last in the 12-horse field at the home turn for (0.6 lengths) fourth with Cellarman also running on well from the tail for (0.9 lengths) fifth.
