Online Editor/Form Assessor/Contributing Writer

Wayne Bristow joined the Racing and Sports ('RAS') team in 2008. Wayne oversees the production of Racing E-Magazines including the subscriber newsletter - one of the largest online racing distribution lists.

He also contributes to news copy, articles for the RAS main site and collaborates on new ventures within the RAS business, including cricket, AFL and NFL for feature events.

From Lake Macquarie in NSW, Wayne has worked for various racing-oriented websites/organisations and in the past performed race form analysis for the Newcastle Jockey Club and Wyong Race Club.

Wayne attained a Batchelor of Commerce Degree from Newcastle University and is a Justice of the Peace. He's worked as an electorate officer in the NSW Parliament, where he managed media communications and liaised with government departments, ministerial offices, constituents, and community organisations. He's also contributed to ABC Grandstand and even had a stint at the wagering coal-face with the NSW TAB.

Wayne always hoped and aspired to transition his career into thoroughbred racing. In fact, his Mum always jokes that he got the racing 'itch' while he was still in the womb. Pregnant, she'd 'take' Wayne to her job every Saturday at the local NSW TAB - where he obviously 'absorbed' all those race commentaries.

Wayne enjoys the historical and statistical perspective of the sport. He believes examining patterns from previous campaigns and racing seasons is an exercise well rewarded. He has also been able to provide that information to organisations like Sky Racing.

He enjoys all sports but particularly the previously mentioned racing plus cricket and AFL (especially the Sydney Swans). For Wayne, listening to and appreciating the expressive skills of quality racing and sports commentators is almost as enjoyable as the events themselves.
