A TAB punter is eagerly awaiting two Group 1 sprints in the next 10 days after huge bets on Saturday’s TAB Doomben 10,000 and Saturday week’s Goodwood at Morphettville.

Yesterday, the punter in question plonked $200,000 in total on Nature Strip – who has been backed from $2.90 to $1.90 with TAB Fixed Odds – to win Saturday’s TAB Doomben 10,000.
The bets from the customer were $100,000 at $2.20, $50,000 at $2 and $50,000 at $1.90, so the punter is eyeing a $415,000 collect if Nature Strip salutes.
“Nature Strip won The Galaxy at Rosehill on March 23 over 1100 metres, but this TAB punter isn’t deterred by the worry about the Chris Waller-trained gelding running a strong 1200 metres,” TAB’s Trent Langskaill said.
Today, the same customer outlaid $100,000 at $4.40 on Spright to win The Goodwood at Morphettville on May 18.
“Spright finally claimed her first Group 1 success in last Saturday’s TAB Classic at Morphettville and the TAB punter in question believes she will secure another sprint triumph on Saturday week.”
The TAB customer stands to collect $440,000 if Spright is victorious next Saturday at Morphettville.
