Major metropolitan meetings are today held at Hawkesbury, Newcastle, Kempsey, Sandown, Horsham, Beaudesert, Eagle Farm, Barcaldine, Morphettville and Ascot.

HAWKESBURY: RACE 8 @ 4:05 PM

ROYAL CELEBRATION (7) caught the eye late first up before taking a good step forward last weekend when a close third behind Rocha Clock. Rates highly off that and appears set to peak third up. Sets up well on the quick back up and should prove hard to beat. GREYSFUL GLAMOUR (1) was well below her best last start, but is clearly better than that and remains under strong notice back onto a firm track. ARCHEDEMUS (2) is going better than it appears on paper and has to be included on the quick back up, while SIKANDARABAD (6) rates well off his effort in the Muswellbrook Cup and appears the next in line.
SELECTIONS: Very keen on Royal Celebration third up

ASCOT: RACE 6 @ 3:00 PM

WATCH ME DANCE (3) has bumped into some smart ones at her past few and finds this a lot easier. Drawn nicely enough and is clearly the one to beat. NOT TO BE MIST (8) ran a very nice race two starts back then disappointed last time. Ignore that and he's a genuine threat. FRIARESQUE (2) is racing well and hit the line strongly into third here three weeks ago. Holding his form and is right in this. ADORNMENT (6) is an improver and POSITION OF POWER (7) next best.
SELECTIONS: Watch Me Dance to win. Trifecta 3-2,6,7,8/2,6,7,8.

BEAUDESERT: RACE 4 @ 1:03 PM

TWELVE APOSTLES (6) led throughout in recording a strong win at Grafton last time. Has been kept fresh since so should be prominent again. Expected to take catching. PERSIAN KING (3) is coming off a break. Won at this trip at Gatton two starts band and rates as one of the hopes. PERFECT QUALITY (8) has been an honest campaigner in recent assignments and again should be around the mark. Has each-way claims. WHO SHOT MAGGIE (10) broke through for his maiden win at Rockhampton last time and can continue the good work here.
SELECTIONS: Back Twelve Apostles.

EAGLE FARM: RACE 7 @ 3:09 PM

PRIVATE EYE (4) heads north off a last-start eye-catcher in the G3 South Pacific in Sydney where he settled back but ran on for second. Should relish the step up to the mile and won his only previous third up attempt so is ready to peak and win. APACHE CHASE (1) led and kept kicking strongly to win the G3 Daybreak Lover in good style here a fortnight ago. Tries 1600m for the first time but all four career wins have come at this course. Must respect. Forgive the first up effort of HOLYFIELD (2) when he travelled wide and carried a big weight. He is a dual G3 winner and is unbeaten second up so can do much better. ROLLINWITHTHEFLOW (6) steps up in grade but is a last-start Doomben winner building a good record. Could measure up. BUCHAREST (7) has been racing in G1 company so is better placed.
SELECTIONS: Private Eye to peak and win up in trip third up.

HORSHAM: RACE 5 @ 3:20 PM

UNDOUBTEDLY SO (9) is first-up and can go well resuming. Was taking on hard company last prep and may appreciate the drop in class. SEERESS (7) looks to be close to another win. Makes a good case after having to cover extra ground last start and should be fitter. RUDY RUDE (2) didn't have a lot of luck at Kyneton about three weeks ago when being bumped and carried wide. Makes a good case for the place at least. MISS MOSH (10) was well-fancied and scored at Penola first-up. Can go just as well second-up and likes the trip. Gets a tick and could be value. CRYPTO CURRENCY (5) is also at the right stage of the prep to go well and has to be included in exotics.
SELECTIONS: Miss Mosh each-way.

MORPHETTVILLE: RACE 8 @ 4:05 PM

It's a competitive G1 Australasian Oaks as it often is. STEINEM (13) had to make a long run when a short favourite two weeks ago. She comes up with the exact opposite inside draw here. As long as she gets clear running she will be tough to beat. BROOKSPIRE (12) looked very good just last weekend in Melbourne over the mile and comes off tough Sydney carnival fillies racing. Stable targets this race. HELA (4) is the fascinating runner unbeaten in seven from Tasmania. Not sure if good enough but the market says so. PERSONAL (1) is the VRC Oaks winner who has been OK this time in without winning. The month off from the Vinery is a good thing. FLEXIBLE (10) was well in the betting in the Adrian Knox and that form was fine.
SELECTIONS: Happy to back Steinem again plus Brookspire.

SANDOWN-HILLSIDE: RACE 4 @ 1:45 PM

GRAND PROMENADE (3) is the one that they have to beat. Two runs back from a break and been really good and those formlines appeal. Gets to the 2400m now which looks ideal and should see him at this peak now. Stablemate PLAYOFFS (4) can do better than latest and the Valley win two back measures right up. Bigger danger may be MIYAKE (5) who is another third up here and looking sure to improve. Was behind Grand Promenade at Caulfield last time but has a chance of turning that around over this trip. BONDI SANDS (7) has a hope having won well on the Lakeside last time.
SELECTIONS: Something on Miyake.
