RACE 3 (7) TANIKO: Genuine mare has come up in fine form this prep, resuming with an eye catching third at Rosehill before progressing as expected to record an impressive BM 88 win over this course and distance on December 21 when she ran home over the top of Southern Lad  for her third Randwick win from seven course starts. Responds best when ridden quietly and the obvious pace in this field should see her have the last say.

RACE 8 (13) CHARRETERA: This incredibly consistent gelding has missed a place only twice in 13 starts and gets his chance for his third career win after a run of minor placings at his last three outings. He's been in the money in all his Randwick starts and this is a ripe opportunity for a win as he is down 6.5kg on his last start third over this same course and distance. With 50kg he should be ridden to take advantage of the big weight edge he holds over his rivals.

RACE 9 (13) SEEINGISBELIEVING: Ready to peak at his third run since resuming after two solid placings over 1300m at Rosehill and 1600m at this course on December 26 when he finished gamely under 57.5kg. Sure to be fitter and appeals as a solid each way gamble at his value odds in early markets as he gets to his right distance under suitable conditions.

TRIAL WATCH REPORT

NOTED RUNNERS January 10/11

RANDWICK SATURDAY: Omar (R1); Cradle Mountain (R3); Special Reward (R3); Toryjoy (R8).

OMAR (Rosehill December 30): Time wasn't flash (55.32; 34.60) but he was visually impressive cruising home in his 900m heat, holding a clear margin over some better performed rivals including the classy Champagne Cuddles. He's won three provincial races from six starts and looks capable of rising to metro company.

SPECIAL REWARD (Newcastle December 30): Former Perth gelding looks a readymade winner for the Lees stable after cruising to an impressive win in the fastest of the six 1000m heats (60.39; 33.48). He has obviously done very well since his Sydney debut when he disappointed at Rosehill in November.

GOLD COAST SATURDAY: Aeecee Beau (R1); Space Boy (R1); Hulk (R1); Champagne Cuddles (R4); Into The Abyss (R5); Irithea (R5); King Of Hastings (R6); Redouble (R8).

SPACEBOY (Warwick Farm January 2): Bolted to a 12 lengths win in his 1200m heat. He surely must soon break his maiden sequence of six placings from seven starts.

KING OF HASTINGS (Rosehill December 30): Classy Melbourne 3YO stopped off on his way to the Gold Coast for a tick over trial that will have him well primed for the MM Guineas. Went through his gears in great style to win his 1030m heat under a cold ride in a reasonable 63.82 (34.80).

FLEMINGTON SATURDAY: Hungry Heart (R1); Duca Valentinois (R7)

KEMBLA GRANGE SATURDAY: Barguzin (R3); Belluci Babe (R3); Belmont Day (R3); Japingka (R5); Poetry In Motion (R5); Superbowl Sunday (R6)

RECENT TRIAL WATCH WINNERS: Gironde; Acumen; Able Hill; Tailleur; Heart Of The Oak; Travest; Katalin; Lashes; Napster; Quantico; Private Thoughts;  Riverside's Cash; Hussonibis; Classic Gaming; Return With Honour; Bound To Win; Rejinsky; Rocha Clock; New Offer.
