Inglis released the catalogue for their 2020 Classic Yearling Sale which will be held at Riverside Stables from 9 to 11 February.
On Monday morning Inglis released the catalogue for their 2020 Classic Yearling Sale which will be held at Riverside Stables from 9 to 11 February. In a revised three day format Inglis have catalogued 808 yearlings for the 2020 sale, 613 yearlings are included in Book 1 and a further 195 yearlings in the Highway Session.
The progeny of 103 sires feature in the catalogue including yearlings by leading sires Dundeel, Fastnet Rock, I Am Invincible, Pierro, Snitzel, Zoustar and Written Tycoon. There are also the progeny of 31 first season sires catalogued including yearlings from the first crops of American Pharoah, Astern, Capitalist, Divine Prophet, Extreme Choice, Flying Artie, Shalaa, Star Turn and Xtravagant.
The vendor with the largest draft is Widden Stud who have 46 lots catalogued ahead of Arrowfield (40), Newhaven Park (35) and Kitchwin Hills (30), while Newgate Farm and Sledmere each have 29 lots catalogued.
"There was an overwhelming demand for places in the sale, but we have looked to work constructively with breeders for many months to finalise a well-diversified catalogue that we feel will find favour with the market,'' Inglis' NSW Bloodstock Manager Chris Russell said.
"We are hugely grateful for the support of the sale by the vendors and are committed to working with them to help to achieve an outstanding set of results.
"Our sales keep producing good horses – 39 Group 1 winners since the start of 2018, more than double our nearest competitor – as well as 10 individual winners of $1,000,000 plus contests in Australia so far this season.
"Buyers know that they can buy well at our sales, starting with Classic, which has consistently proven itself to be Australasia's best-value sale.
"The success of recent graduates of Classic has been incredible with the likes of Melbourne Cup winner Vow And Declare, Slipper winner She Will Reign and stars such as Castelvecchio, Shadow Hero, Samadoubt, Yankee Rose and I Am A Star to name just a few."
