Juddmonte Farms-based sire Frankel (Galileo) brought up his 59th stakes winner on Wednesday as his daughter Majestic Noor (3 f ex Nouriya by Danehill Dancer) emulated her dam in the John Musker Fillies’ Stakes (Listed, 1m2f) at Yarmouth.

Last seen finishing fifth in the Prix de Thiberville (Listed, 2400m), the John Gosden-trained filly bounced back in impressive fashion when beating Black Lotus (Declaration Of War) by a length and a half, while Festive Star (Golden Horn) was a further neck away in third.

Majestic Noor was purchased by Blue Diamond Stud for 650,000gns at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale from the Highclere Stud draft and she is out of dual Listed-winning Danehill Dancer (Danehill) mare Nouriya, who landed the 2010 edition of the race.

Nouriya has produced a further two winners, including Aljazzi (Shamardal), who won the Duke Of Cambridge Stakes (Gr 2, 1m) in 2018 and was purchased by Newsells Park for a whopping 1,000,000gns at the Tattersalls Horses In Training Sale later that same year.

Meanwhile, further back this filly’s third dam - Shy Danseuse (Groom Dancer) - produced Listed-winning pair Sweet Story (Green Desert) and Shy Lady (Kaldoun) - the dam of 2003 St James’s Palace Stakes (Gr 1, 1m) winner Zafeen (Zafonic) and Group 3 winner Ya Hajar (Lycius), who in turn produced Listed winner Prince Of All (Iffraaj).

Shy Lady also counts Akeed Champion (Dubawi), Atlantic Sport (Machiavellian) and Shy Angel (Zamindar) among her stakes-winning progeny.

The filly becomes the third stakes winner bred on the Frankel / Danehill Dancer cross, joining Group 3 scorers Cunco and Learn By Heart.

Frankel stood at Juddmonte Farm's Banstead Manor base in Newmarket for a fee of £175,000 in 2020. The son of Galileo (Sadler’s Wells) is represented in the southern hemisphere by his son Eminent, who is standing at Brighthill Farm in New Zealand for a fee of NZ$7,500 (plus GST) in 2020 and Frankel My Dear who is standing his first season Ryand Thoroughbreds in Victoria for a fee of $6,600 (inc GST).

The son of Galileo has a strike rate of 15.8 per cent stakes winners to runners with his stakes winners headed by ten Group 1 winners.
