The Stephen Autridge-trained Prosperous (3 f Savabeel - Fiorenza by Stravinsky) produced an impressive display to break her maiden in the Avondale Jockey Club on Facebook Maiden Stakes (1200m) Avondale on Wednesday.

The three-year-old filly never looked in any trouble and showed a good turn of foot to beat Silverstream (He's Remarkable) by an emphatic five lengths. Gas Monkey (Choisir) finished another length and three-quarters away in third.

"She worked really well on Saturday morning on a wet track so we thought given she handles it she was a chance," Autridge said.

"She is certainly going to improve with it but it was a very pleasant surprise how easily she won.

"She is from a pretty handy family. There are no world-beaters there but they win races. My job is to try and get some black-type with her."

The filly is out of Listed-winning mare Fiorenza (Stravinsky), making her a sister to Listed winner Gustavo and a further five winners.

Meanwhile, the filly's third dam produced Grade 1 winner Ghazi (Polish Navy) and Grade 2 winner Pompeii Court (Tell).

Further back this is the same family as Champagne Stakes (Gr 1, 2000m)-winning duo Carry On Cutie (More Than Ready) and The Mission (Choisir), who now stands at Aquis Farm.

Savabeel (Zabeel) is the sire of 99 stakes winners, headed by 20 Group 1 winners and he will stand at Waikato Stud for a fee of NZ$100,000 (plus GST).
