A colt by Newgate Farm’s first-season sire Capitalist (Written Tycoon) clocked the fastest time of 10.20 seconds at Warwick Farm on Friday, in the final breeze-up ahead of Tuesday’s Inglis’ Ready2Race Sale.

One of 12 horses to gallop on Friday, the colt is being offered by Blak Ryan Racing and he is out of the stakes-placed Exceed And Excel (Danehill) mare Belhamage, who is herself a half-sister to Group 2 runner-up Gigas (Dubai Destination).

Further back this the family of dual Group 1 winner Kartajana (Shernazer) and Listed-winning pair Karamita (Shaunting) and Karasi (Kahyasi). The colt is catalogued as Lot 186

“He’s just a neat, compact, fast, early two-year-old,’’ said Ryan.

“He’s got the shape of his father and the colour of his dam sire so it’s a pretty nice mix.

“I was really happy with the time and just the way he breezed overall.

“All my horses have arrived and settled in really well at Riverside, inspections have been solid for this early stage so we’re really looking forward to the next few days and then sale day on Tuesday.’’

Ryan will offer 16 lots at the sale, including a colt Deep Field (Northern Meteor), who breezed in the quickest time of 9.95 seconds.

Inspections continue on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, with the sale to begin at 10am on Tuesday.
