National Defense, a Group One winning son of Invincible Spirit, will join the Sun Stud roster in Victoria this spring.

National Defense, currently serving his second season at the Irish National Stud, will stand his first Australian season on a fee of $11,000 (inc GST).

National Defense, winner of the G1 Prix Jean-Luc Legardere at Chantilly as a 2YO, joins the likes of I AM Invincible among the sons of Invincible Spirit standing in Australia.

He was scheduled to shuttle to Sun Stud last year but remained in Ireland after suffering an injury.

The arrival of National Defense will increase the Sun Stud roster to 10 stallions in 2019, headed by Melbourne Cup winner Fiorente on a fee of $27,500 (inc. GST).

Fiorente’s 19 winners this season included the G2 winners Stars Of Carrum and Hawkshot.
