Bondi Sold To WA Stud

Young Snitzel entire Bondi has been sold to Western Australia’s Lynward Park Stud.

The G1 placed colt will start his stud career this spring on a fee of $6600 incloding GST.

A $400,000 Magic Millions yearling purchase by China Horse Club, he was trained Peter and Paul Snowden was retired after suffering a tendon injury when third in the G2 Hobartville Stakes at Rosehill in March.

Bondi (Snitzel x Bondi Blonde by Red Ransom) was second as a 2YO to Seabrook in the G1 Champagne Stakes at Randwick.

He is bred on a similar Snitzel/Red Ransom cross to four-time G1 winner Trapeze Artist and G1 Golden Slipper Stakes winner Estijaab.

* Siblings to three G1 winners and the progeny of two G1 winning mares are among the 530 weanlings on offer at Melbourne’s Great Southern Sale at Oaklands Junction next month.

The sale will run from June 16 to June 19 and features 530 weanlings, 285 broodmares, 54 racing stock, one stallion and one stallion share.

There are a further 32 weanlings out of stakes-winning mares and another 21 siblings/half-siblings to stakes winners.

Also to be auctioned is a share in Woodside Park Stud stallion Tosen Stardom.
