2017 has been an extraordinary 12 months for Arrowfield Stud’s champion sire Redoute's Choice and his sons Snitzel and Not A Single Doubt.

The sire dynasty's sensational year ‘has featured 67 winners of 92 worldwide Group & Listed Races, made up of 81 in Australia, four in South Africa, three each in France and New Zealand and one in Hong Kong.

The three Arrowfield sires produced 11 G1 winners of 12 races:-

The three Arrowfield stars were responsible for 18 2YO stakeswinners including G1 winners Invader, Mustaaqeem and Summer Passage and six of Timeform's 10 top-rated Australian 2YOs in 2016/17 including the three best colts (Invader - TF119; Pariah – TF 118; Summer Passage – TF117).

In the sale rings 10 of the 23 yearlings sold for $1 million or more in Australia during 2017 were by Redoute’s Choice, Snitzel or Not A Single Doubt.

Each stallion added milestone achievements to their records during the past 12 months:

SNITZEL

Champion Sire of Australia, Champion Sire of 2YOs & Champion Sire of 3YOs, 2016/17

Career: 75 SW, 12 G1 winners, 28 2YO Stakeswinners; 2017 - 32 stakeswinners (inc. 9 2YOs), 21 Group winners, 6 G1 winners

• Equalled Danehill's single-season record of 26 Australian stakeswinners

• Set a new Australian record for stallion earnings in a season with $16.2 million

• Claimed sole ownership of the Australian-sired 2YO winners record, with a season tally of 35 (inc. three in New Zealand)

• Completed an unprecedented three-generation sequence of Champion Australian Sires: Danehill (9 titles), Redoute's Choice (2006, 2010, 2014) & Snitzel (2017).

• Sired the first Australian G1 2YO trifecta by the same stallion since 1982 in the ATC Sires' Produce

• Sire of Redzel, winner of the inaugural $10 million The Everest at Royal Randwick

Snitzel currently heads the 2017/18 Australian General Sires' Premiership with 16 SW and $13.5 million and is the only stallion with top 10 performers in every age category of the current Australian Timeform rankings (2YO Bondi (112); 3YOs Menari (122p) & Trapeze Artist (122); 4YO Russian Revolution (120); 5YO Redzel (126).

REDOUTE'S CHOICE

Career: 152 SW, 32 G1 winners, 37 2YO Stakeswinners; 2017 - 17 stakeswinners (inc. 4 2YOs), 13 Group winners, 2 G1 winners

• Sired a rare G1 sibling double with Mustaqeem and Rafeef at Turffontein - his 14th same-track Group race double, and his second G1 double.

• Sire of 3 top 10 Australian sires in 2016/17: Snitzel (1st), Not A Single Doubt (5th) & Stratum (10th)

• Australia's Leading Active Broodmare Sire 2016/17. Leads this season with $12.1 million & 10 SW

• Sire of New Zealand's current leading second season sire Burgundy

• Sire of Australia's top-priced colt in 2017 ($2.5 million colt ex Secluded) and top-priced filly ($1.8 million filly ex Court)

Career: 49 SW, 8 Group 1 winners, 17 2YO stakeswinners; 2017 - 18 Stakeswinners (inc. 5 2YOs) 10 Group winners, 3 G1 winners

• 5th 2016/17 Australian General Sires' Premiership with $11.7 million & 14 stakeswinners

• Sired his first 3YO classic winner Mighty Boss (Caulfield Guineas), part of his first same-day stakes quadrella

• Sire of three $1 million+ lots in three categories in 2017 - 2YO gelding Gunnison ($1.4 million), yearling colt ex Quiet Maggy ($1.25 million) & Broodmare Don’t Doubt Mamma ($1.1 million).

The 2018 sales season opens with the Magic Millions at the Gold Coast where there are 97 yearlings on offer by Redoute's Choice, Snitzel and Not A Single Doubt are set to fill buyers' short-lists and orders.

Not A Single Doubt and Snitzel have numerous contenders for the $10 million Magic Millions Raceday on 13 January.

Among them are 2YO Classic prospects Bondi, Orcein and Nomothaj (by Snitzel) and Legislation, Singular Sensation & Granny Red Shoes (by Not A Single Doubt).

The 3YO Guineas entries include Debonairly, Goodfella, Chauffeur and Dinnigan (by Snitzel) and Pretty Fast, From Within and Single Bullet (by Not A Single Doubt).
