The rising four-year-old will join the Aquis Farm roster at Canunagra in Queensland for the 2019 breeding season. His fee has been set at $8800.

High hopes were held for Performer after impressive early trials followed by an outstanding debut win in the G3 Breeders Plate at Randwick in 2017.

He followed up with another impressive win in the G3 Canonbury Stakes but his next start ended in disaster when he dislodged his rider Hugh Bowman in the G2 Todman Stakes at Rosehill 200m from the finish.

Performer subsequently had another seven starts for just the one placing in the G3 San Domenico Stakes at the start of his 3YO season.

A $450,000 yearling, Performer is out of the Snippets mare Gavroche and is a half-brother to G1 winner Bel Sprinter (Bel Esprit).

He is bred on the successful Danehill/Snippets cross that has produced leading stallions Snitzel, Hinchinbrook and Magnus.

Successful sons of Exceed And Excel at stud include Sidestep, Headwater and Outreach.

Aquis has now added six new stallions to its stud rosters for this spring.

Performer will join Aclaim as new members of the Canungra roster, Brave Smash and Santos have joined the Aquis Hunter Valley roster and Siege of Quebec and Lean Mean Machine are the foundation stallions of the newly established Aquis Stud in Victoria.
