Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for May 4.
Major metropolitan meetings are today held at Caulfield, Eagle Farm, Morphettville and Ascot.
CAULFIELD: RACE 8 @ 3:40 PM
ETARA (3) has been rushing through the grades since winning her maiden at Colac fresh up by 6 lengths. She clung on to a game win at Terang last time out after working hard to find the top early on from a wide gate that day. This is her toughest test to date but the rise in journey will suit her and she will be hard to peg back again. YOTOTSU (14) resumed with a bold run for third fresh up at Sandown-Lakeside fresh up an extra 500 metres will suit her. Her only career win came second up last prep in the spring, and she is good enough to take this out. AZTEC STATE (2) is heading the right way and only missed by a nose at Caulfield-Heath last start. He will be at his peak third up and with the blinkers on for the first time, he can go one better. NAVY KING (6) hasn't been far away of late and is worth including.

EAGLE FARM: RACE 5 @ 1:48 PM
INHIBITIONS (2) flashed home late to beat Moesha over 1200m at Caulfield two runs back, earning her another crack at some black type. Things didn't work out in the Randwick bog when she finished last in the Group 3 James HB Carr. Four-times stakes placed which gives her a big class edge over these. KEEP YOUR COOL (10) is flying this prep with two wins from as many runs in NSW. Closed strongly to get home narrowly last time out over 1200m at Gosford. Big step up today but she is going places. VOLCANIC LOVE (13) began poorly and was never a factor in the Listed Daybreak Lover a fortnight ago. Draws well and drops sharply in the weights so could turn things around. The promising WEIGALL TIGER (4) is back after a 16-week spell. Won four straight last prep, including twice here, but did fail when tested in Listed company. Each-way chance.
SELECTIONS: Inhibitions too classy.
MORPHETTVILLE: RACE 4 @ 1:37 PM
JAZZ AFFAIR (8) has come on nicely this campaign, scoring dominantly in her last two. Appears to have more to offer and should appreciate the extra journey. Can bring up the hat-trick. EASY CAMPESE (2) stuck on gamely into second behind Jazz Affair last start. Drawn kinder this time and gets a positive jockey switch in Lane. Can feature in the finish. MARACOURT (7) is yet to strike through this time in but hasn't missed the frame. Tricky draw to contest but is expected to be chasing hard at the business end. KOMACHI (4) lifted strongly to get the verdict last time at Gawler. Tougher this time but is right in the mix. Fellow last start winner JUST LIKE LISA (3) can also be considered.
SELECTIONS: Jazz Affair to win again.
ASCOT: RACE 3 @ 12:54 PM
OLY'S CHOICE (5) got back but circled the field to win comfortably here last time out and now steps out to the mile for the first time. Pike sticking is a positive sign and he may be able to sit a little closer this time around. Looks ready to go to another level this time out. Pike hops off DESENNEA (3) after a plain effort over this course and distance last week. Blinkers go on for the first time now and Poy hops back in the saddle having won 4/8 when steering. Heavily backed here last week and should be right in the finish again. SISU WARRIOR (1) took on Stakes grade last start and was outclassed after a good effort in this grade prior. Campbell takes 2kg off now and he's likely to find the front once again. Will take plenty of catching. KNOT SECRET (6) ran well last start and may be better again stepping back out to the mile. Not to be discounted. YARRALEA (8) is looking for the hat-trick and warrants plenty of respect.
SELECTIONS: Oly's Choice gets the nod.
