Fellowes eyes Deauville Group Three for improving filly.

Onassis  will be back in France this weekend as she bids to add to her Listed win last time out, in the Prix de Lieurey at Deauville.

The Charlie Fellowes-trained Dubawi filly, out of the disqualified 1000 Guineas 'winner' Jacqueline Quest, has improved in leaps and bounds this season.

Having won the Sandringham at Royal Ascot off a mark of 81, she quickened up in fine style to score again at Chantilly last month and is now moved up into a Group Three.

"Onassis is great and will gallop on Tuesday morning, then hopefully she will run in the Prix de Lieurey on Saturday at Deauville," said Fellowes.

"I've always held her in very high regard. Her work as a two-year-old was very good, and she went off favourite on her debut at Newbury."

Onassis needed six attempts to break her duck last year, but has been on a swift upward curve since then.

"I think it just took me a little bit of time to work her out," added Fellowes.

"When we changed the tactics and rode her a bit more patiently she really started to blossom – which has resulted in her rapid progress this year.

"I was very impressed with her win last time out in France – the turn of foot she showed was pretty spectacular.

"She's got an exceptional pedigree. She's a typical Dubawi who just loves racing and is incredibly versatile – I'm so lucky to have her."
