Deemed the race of the meeting, four-time Group 1 winner Paddington will take on runaway Royal Ascot Group 1 Prince of Wales's Stakes victor Mostahdaf. Paddington will be returning to ten furlongs following a victory at Glorious Goodwood in the Group 1 Sussex Stakes over a mile whilst the Gosden-trained Mostahdaf has not been seen since his impressive 1m2f Royal Ascot success.

The John and Thady Gosden team will also field Group 1 Falmouth Stakes heroine Nashwa, who will be aiming to bounce back following a third on soft ground in the Group 1 Nassau Stakes. Andrew Balding's The Foxes will make up the quartet, back on British soil after a second in Grade 1 Belmont Derby in New York.

Paddington is the current 4/6 favourite for the York showpiece, with Mostahdaf available at 3/1.
