The weather is a bit iffy with thunderstorms and heavy rain showers are circling around.

The going is going to be on the soft side so watch the market closely.  Our first feature is the G2 Vintage Stakes for the 2yo over 1400m and it will be interesting to see how Berkshire Shadow performs after his win at Ascot In the Coventry.  At present he's on top on 2/1 with Lusail, winner if the July Stakes on the same quote.  Eldrickjones has been between both of these and it remains to be seen if he can reverse either of these results.

The Lennox Stakes is over 1400m and Space Blues has his first start since Dubai.  He won this race last year and Charlie Appleby will have him ready for this.  They are on 2/1.  Creative Force the stablemate was 5th in the July Cup and comes here on 5/1 with James Doyle riding.  Duke of Hazzard was second in this last year and could be worth a bit of each way as he's on 16/1.

The Goodwood Cup has the makings of a great race – G1 over 3200m which could extend some of these especially if the going is on the heavy side.  We love Stradivarius and he comes here on top of the market on 6/4, with Dettori as usual in the irons.  Trueshan is on 2/1 for Alan King and Hollie Doyle, and Spanish Mission 5/1 for Appleby-Buick.
