Sunday morning in Hong Kong

3 minute read

There's been a few showers around and it is currently a bit misty and cloudy but the day will hopefully improve weather-wise and there hasn't been too much water on the track.

So it does not look as if there will be any problems with the track unless it rains just before a race and as a result there have not been any major changes in the market.

For the Sprint Beat The Clock is just edging Santa Ana Lane after an upbeat report from John Size - 2.7 and 2.8 respectively.  Rattan has firmed into 6.1 and we still have Viddora there as our roughie.  While not having a fast workout on the turf, there was nothing in Viddora's attitude on the turf on Friday to say she did not feel happy - she was clearly enjoying herself posing for photos.

The Mile has Beauty Generation odds-on and the other 6 runners all on double figures.

The Cup still has Exultant on top with Pakistan Star easing to 7.4 and Furore firming to that figure.  Lys Gracieux is now in single figures on 8.9.  It remains a very open race.

We have a good tip for Dan Control, by Slade Power who did well here, in Race 2 over 1200m.

Race  4 is interesting and a very open 1600m race.  A horse of interest here is Red Warrior, owned by the Chair of FWD the Hon. Ronald Arculli, who is also a former Chair of the HKJC and of course owned the wonderful Red Cadeaux.
