Roger Varian sent Zabeel Prince to Longchamp on Sunday and came home with the G1 Prix d’Ispahan.

With Andrea Atzeni In the irons, Zabeel Prince performed perfectly to take the race from favourite Study Of Man, with the under-appreciated Trais Flouris in third. 

Earlier Siyarafina won the Prix Saint Alary to hold her unbeaten record.  She looks likely to meet Hermosa in the Prix de Diane in mid-June.  Olendon took second at huge odds and Simon Crisford’s Imperial Charm ran third.

The Vicomtesse Vigier was won by Pia Brandt’s Call To The Bar who will probably contest the Ascot Gold Cup.  Way To Paris was second and favourite Call The Wind was 3 lengths back in third in the 3000m G2.
