There's no doubt that Frankie Dettori is riding in extraordinary form.
He got his 12th G1 for 2019 at Deauville on Sunday when he persuaded Advertise to cross the line a neck ahead of Brando 48/1 in the G1 Maurice de Gheest. And the trainer wasn't John Gosden it was Martyn Meade. Space Blues 6/1 with William Buick in the irons was closing fast in third. The more fancied runners were further back.
The G3 Prix Valparaiso Sporting Club – Prix Reux also went to the raiders – this time Germany with Andreas Wöhler's Ashran 13/1 winning by a short neck from Walton Street with First Nation 3 lengths back in third.
In Germany the German Oaks saw a big upset when Diamanta won at 24/1 for Markus Flug. Naida at 17/1 was second and favourite Duranco was third.
Earlier the Henkel Stiftung-Rennen for 3y+ went to Bristano with Filip MInarik on board.
