Saturday's meeting at Cheltenham saw fields reduced because of the track conditions but the good horses managed to prevail.

Except possibly in the Trial Juvenile Hurdle which only had 6 runners but the favourite two favourite failed to make the frame.  Galahad Quest was the winner and Night Edition the runner up.  Early days.

The Cotswold Chase saw Santini win by 3 ½ lengths from Bristol De Mai.  The Gr 2 Novices' Hurdle saw Harry Senior 9/2 win from King Roland and Protektorat with a 2 ¼ l margin between the places.

Paisley Park won the Gr 2 Cleeve Hurdle like a good thing should  with Summerville Boy 7/1 and Lisnagar Oscar 50/1 following him.
