Two celebrated Grade 2 races this weekend – the Las Virgenes on Saturday and the San Vicente on Sunday.

Both have disappointingly small fields and an odds-on favourite. The Las Virgenes is a qualifying race for the Kentucky Oaks so one would have thought a few more than the 5  would be trying for points.  Venetian Harbour is 2/5 for Baltas-Prat and the Don Alberto runner Stellar Sound is on 5/1 for Baffert-Smith.

The San Vicente is over 1400m for the 3yo boys and here there's a great quinella based on the names as well as odds – Nadal and Storm The Court.  4/5 and 9/5 are the odds in the Morning Line.
