On Sunday at Nakayama visiting jockeys Lyle Hewitson and Filip Minarik both rode doubles.
Hewitson did not have the best of luck in Hong Kong but seems to have adapted very well to the Japanese style of racing.
However the feature race the Hochi Hai Yayoi Sho Deep Impact Kinen went to the veteran Japanes ace Yutaka Take, who fittingly rode a son of Deep Impact, Satono Flag, to victory in this G2 over 2000m for the 3yo colts. Wakea was second and Authority third with our roughie Black Hole running fourth at 14.2.
On Saturday the G2 Tulip Sho saw outsider Maltese Dioso win from Cravache d'Or with favourite Resistencia third.
Japanese racing was run without public.
