Prix d'Ispahan and Robert Papin at Chantilly Sunday

3 minute read

The Prix Robert Papin is G2 for 2yos over 1200m with ground Good to Soft.

There's only 4 starters which is a joke considering how much racing has been lost so far this year.  Michael Bell's undefeated The Lir Jet was very impressive at Ascot and is on 4/9.  He's traveling and this is going up in trip but he's shown great potential.  Since there are only 4 runners we'll give the other tip for the outsider on 20/1 Tiger Tanaka.  He's won all his 4 starts so far and while they have been in claimers he's had good winning margins so he could have more in the tank.  It's also been hard for trainers to place horses during the lockdown so why not?

The Prix d'Ispahan is G1 for 3yo+ over 1800m and it is the usual clash between the locals and the invaders.  Heading the market is Persian King, a Godolphin runner trained in France by Andre Fabre and P-C will have the ride.  Motamarris is from Freddy Head's yard and is on 4/1 and best of the raiders could be Clive Cox's Positiver.
