The great one won his fourth Goodwin Cup on Tuesday.

While there was no public to celebrate the great feat, it has started Glorious Goodwood off in a truly glorious fashion.  It wasn't always plain sailing for the champ but once Frankie got him out of a pocket and set sail for home the finish was truly awesome.  Nayef Road tried to keep up with him but it wasn't possible, and the much-touted Santiago threw in the towel about 100m out.  His day will come.

Earlier in the Vintage Battleground showed fortitude to put in a good turn of foot and win by 2 lengths from Devious Company with Youth Spirit third, and our roughie Gorytus getting fourth having started at 28/1.

The Lennox went Godolphin's way with Space Blues defeating Duke of Hazzard 5/1 and Escobar 40/1 with Safe Voyage third.

Wednesday features the G3 Molecomb for the speedsters over 1000m.  There are 10 2yos in this and for what it's worth the market has Steel Ball on top at 4/1 with Sardinia Situation and Significantly on 9/2.

And the Sussex Stakes G1 is an absolute beauty with 7 tackling the 1600m. There's last year's winner and a couple of 2000 Guineas winners and the Summer Mile winner all with excellent chances.  We are going with Kameko here  - on 4/1 – to head the talented and unbeaten Siskin on 2/1 and Mohaather on 11/4.
