This G2 race is usually seen as a prep for the Sprinters' Stakes G1.

Lord Kanaloa never won this Centaur but won the Sprinters' twice in 2012 and 2013 and his son Danon Smash is trying to follow in his hoof prints and won the Chukyo event on Sunday. Meisho Glocke was a length away in second 6/1 and Mr Melody third.  Danon Smash has firmed overnight to start favourite with Kosei Miura riding for Takanaki Yasuda.
