At Baden-Baden on Sunday it was a 3rd G-P in a row for Godolphin.

And it was Barney Roy's third G1 for the year having previously won the Grosses-Dallmayr and the Jebel Hatta.

It was an English quinella with Communique in second giving Mark Johnston and Franny Norton more joy in their expedition to Iffezheim with the locals favourite Torquator Tasso third.

On Saturday Zamud was too good in the von Zastrow Stutenpreis winning by 2 ½ lengths from Virginia Joy and Rose Of Kildare third for Johnson/Norton.

That team had better luck on Friday when Dark Vision won the Oettingen Rennen by a nose from Half Light with Rubaiyat third.
