ROSEHILL PARLAY
RACE 4 (7) ITZ LILY: Progressive filly has won three of her last five starts, going to a new peak against her own age at her last start when she overcame a wide run to score a game win in heavy going over 1800m at Randwick under 58kg. That effort kept intact her unbeaten record in three starts on soft and heavy tracks and with apprentice Sam Clenton retaining the ride her claim has her nicely placed to take on older rivals this time with 55.5kg. Conditions are again in her favour.
RACE 8 (11) WAGNER: Has had a month break since recording a strong finishing win over this course and distance on June 1 under 58.5kg when he conceded 4.5kg to subsequent winner Spiritual Pursuit in easier BM 78 company. He has since trialled strongly on a heavy track and with only 53kg is well placed to meet the class rise and continue the excellent form he has displayed this preparation since being gelded. Ample speed in this field suits his style.
RACE 7 (4) FIRSTHAND: Primed for this off two solid Melbourne starts since resuming where his efforts have had merit after he drifted too far off the early pace. He's back on his favourite track where he has produced his best form and expect that with blinkers on for the first time he will settle closer from good draw and can be put into the race at the right time. He's down in the weights and has done more than enough on soft and heavy tracks to add to the confidence in his excellent each-way prospects.
