The Chris Waller-trained colt Global Quest scored an impressive win here on debut. He settled in fifth place, between runners, but was held up for clear running on straightening. He took a split nearing the 100m and then finished too well to score a smart win. Postcode raced in fourth place on the rails, finally got through on the inner at the 100m and then battled on well for second. The Godolphin-raced Beyliks travelled in sixth place, moved up (deep) coming to the home turn, challenged at the 200m and then fought on nicely for third in a sound debut. The Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott-trained colt Belieber raced in third place (wide), moved up (deep) rounding the home turn, got to the front at the 200m and then held on well for (2 lengths) fourth after working most of the way. Circularity led (on the rails) but was pressured in front (by Nitrous), only tiring over the latter stages for (2.4 lengths) fifth in a nice debut.
