RACE 6 (7) CHAPADA: This time last year he was an impressive third in the G1 Victoria Derby. Then in March he reached another peak when third over this course and distance in the G1 Rosehill Guineas behind The Autumn Sun. Now he strikes an average field for a $500,000 event under favourable weight conditions with just 1kg over the limit and down 2.5kg on his warm up when a last start third in the Seymour Cup (1600m) under 56.5kg. It's the perfect scenario as his Rosehill Guineas placing as well as his maiden win both came when third up and he comes from a stable whose runners always seem at their best at carnival time. Have to be with him at his early price.

RACE 7 (3): KOLDING: What more can you say about a last start G1 winner at 1600m who has won six of his last seven starts, has the form on the board over the course and distance, the tactical speed to make full use of his favourable draw and has beaten subsequent G1 winner Fierce Impact and Cox Plate third Te Akau Shark at his last two starts. And he showed he had gone ahead since his Epsom win a month ago with a super trial win at this course 11 days ago. The negative is a 7kg rise from his Epsom win but he is a powerful unit who should have no issue meeting his own age under the wfa scale.

KOLDING: (Rosehill October 22): The Epsom Handicap winner was the standout performer and didn't disappoint with an excellent trial, winning his 1030m heat with his head on his chest. He merely ambled at his leisure behind the lead before cruising to the front and seemingly went to the line at half pace that flattered his chasers.
