Canterbury: Race 7 @ 9.15pm

Zeppelin from a wide gate will cross to lead. EL MO (1) has been freshened up since finishing a close 4th over 1500m at Randwick five weeks ago. Has good form at this trip, is drawn perfectly, and drops back to midweek company. Hard to find fault with this consistent gelding, particularly with the in-form Sam Clenton to steer. ONENESS (7) sat outside the leader and didn't quite finish off when a close 6th over this course and distance a fortnight ago. Generally a reliable gelding so worth another chance. JACK'S BAR (3) is a very good fresh performer worth considering off a four-month break. Best form comes at this trip and Bowman to ride is a positive. ARRAIGNMENT (4) caught the eye first up and will be hitting the line hard again. SELECTION: Hard to go past #1 El Mo.

Canberra: Race 2 @ 3: 25pm
Appetizing looks the one to run them along. DUCHESS OF WINDSOR (7) improved sharply winning the Maiden easily at Goulburn when better suited up to the mile. She has more to offer and a repeat at odds wouldn't surprise. APPETIZING (3) may control the race from the rail. Has been beaten a lip the last two at this trip and comes back plenty in grade off the Kembla effort. Races at peak and expect him to take beating. MAIBEASY (6) was beaten a head at Bathurst in a CL2 following a big Maiden win. Missed the start the one after and best to forgive. Winning rider Penza is reunited, and a bounce wouldn't surprise. WAIHEKE (1) comes back to the mile and is sure to be a serious player drawn well with a handy 3kg claim. SELECTION: A throw at the stumps with #7 Duchess Of Windsor at the juicy odds and will save in quinellas.

Muswellbrook: Race 7 @ 4.35pm

Just Two Vees will hold the lead out of the inside stall. AUTUMN RAIN (5) finally broke the maiden last start over 1600m at Scone, overcoming a wide run in transit to win pulling away. Gives the impression that more ground will suit so can certainly win again with the confidence up. JUST TWO VEES (1) found the front approaching the corner then fought on tenaciously when joined at the furlong to go under narrowly over the mile at Scone last time. Kept fresh for this assignment. Form at this trip difficult to fault so is a genuine threat. YAKETY YAK (8) appreciated the drop in grade when a closing 3rd over 1600m at Quirindi recently. Cherry-ripe now and will be hard to hold out. NAOKO (11) was a much better run last time - each-way hope. SELECTION: #5 Autumn Rain to win again.

Port Lincoln: Race 9 @ 7:10pm
Early pace across the barriers with Emoji a candidate to lead. GOTTABITON (8) has won the last two as favourite and keeps getting better. He will use the low gate and can keep things rolling despite the grade rise. ANGEL'S WISH (7) was seeking the hat-trick when just missing behind Mirthdale enjoying no luck at all. The way she came home suggests the rise in trip will suit and she's in well with the claim. BANRI DE HERO (10) is knocking on the door she shouldn't be far away. BEAU'S MY BOY (6) is also going well enough to be considered. SELECTION: The better races are all very competitive. #8 Gottabiton can win a good contest and we may get each way odds.
