RANDWICK PARLAY

RACE 3 (3) FOXBOROUGH: Progressive filly made light of 57kg in the heavy ground to record a hollow 5.5 lengths win in the Wagga Guineas (1600m) on May 1, underlining the progress she has made since the spring when she contested the Wakeful Stakes and VRC Oaks. John Sargent is a dab hand with his staying fillies and has her perfectly placed to step up to 2000m off that win with the wet conditions very much in her favour.

RACE 5 (5) SOUTHERN LAD: Randwick specialist returns to his home course after an unlucky first-up second in the Wagga Town Plate (1200m) on April 30 where he was left with too much to do on a heavy track after being held up behind a wall of horses on the home turn. Combine his liking for Randwick, 2kg weight relief from his Wagga run, his proven ability on seriously affected surfaces and the big riding switch to James McDonald and he is clearly the horse to beat in this limited field.

RACE 6 (10) MISS EINSTEIN: Plenty of good reasons to like this talented mare, the obvious being her scope for improvement from her luckless second-up third in this class over 1400 at this course on May 9 when she was chopped out of a run between the leading pair in the last 200m that almost certainly cost her a win. The extra 100m is definitely in her favour but its the seriously wet track that really seals the deal as the last time she struck a Heavy 10 she bolted home by seven lengths at Warwick Farm, co-incidentally when having the third run of her last campaign. Expect Jason Collett to give her plenty of clear air this time.

RANDWICK May 15: Above average youngster WILD RULER was back to the trials and again showed his talent to record the fastest of the seven 1040m heats (62.58; 35.23) in impressive circumstances. He tracked wide and was keen to run when challenged by another rival for the first 800m before forging away under a hold for a classy win. Will be a lot fitter the next time he is produced.

WARWICK FARM May 12: Talented Godolphin youngster BEYLIKS made the best impression with his soft win in his 808m heat (47.44; 33.74). Looks set to build on the promise he showed early in the season. Another youngster worth keeping an eye on is ROCKETING BY, who recorded the fastest 808m heat win (47.43; 33.41).
