2020 SIR JOHN MONASH STAKES – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS
Good pressure early but Jungle Edge should win out. VIRIDINE (2) is well placed here. Found his race last time and won it well and it would be no surprise to see him go right on with it now. Conditions of the race play to him and they also play to JUNGLE EDGE (1) who faded late last time over 1100m in the LR June Stakes at Randwick, beaten home by Viridine, but does fly around here and 1100m is perfect.
ASHLOR (3) did a good job winning last time over 1200m at Moonee Valley. Must be a hope along with I AM SOMEONE (6) who backs up from an even fifth over 1200m in the LR All Victorian Sprint Series Final at Flemington last week. Winner prior to that. Tavisan also backs up from that race with a chance to do better back on his home deck.
