2020 THE EVEREST – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS
Pressure on from the outset. Nature Strip, Dollar For Dollar and Haut Brion Her all expected to be prominent early.
CLASSIQUE LEGEND (3) has been building towards this event nicely. Turned heads first up in The Shorts before enduring a luckless outing a fortnight ago when second to Libertini in the Group 2 Premiere Stakes. Was caught wide no cover throughout on that occasion and to his credit stuck on bravely for second. Should get a cosy run in this midfield behind an anticipated strong early tempo.
NATURE STRIP (1) is the proven class sprinter of this field however prep to date has been testing. Was beaten by Gytrash first up in the Concorde, then threw his rider at the gates in a Sep 21 trial before a fading fourth in the Premiere Stakes. Post race exam revealed there were genuine excuses.
GYTRASH (7) does not know how to run a bad race. Kept ticking over since his Concorde win with a Rosehill trial. LIBERTINI (11) was dominant first up in winning the Premiere Stakes while BIVOUAC (6) caught the eye fresh running third in the same race.
