Winning Trainer: Tom Dabernig & Ben Hayes (Tom speaking)
"He hasn't won since 2018 but there's been a lot of good, solid performances but we just haven't been able to find races long enough for him. He's a real two-miler. Today he loved the 2800 metres.
"He's got a good Flemington record and we'll probably head towards the Sandown Cup with him.
"He's a horse that has no gate speed early so the wide draw wasn't a problem to just let him balance up. There were a lot of horses getting tired in front of him and he finished. Hopefully he's got the winning feeling after (nearly) three years.
Ownership: "They've stuck with him - Gary (Lechte) has been with the stable for a long time. He (Sin To Win) isn't getting any younger but he's a genuine horse and I think he'll really relish the two miles of the Sandown Cup. Hopefully we go there with a nice, fit horse in form.
"He rarely finished out of the top four. I don't know if he is paying his way but he is going close."
Winning Jockey: Luke Currie
Popular man being 900 days since last win: "He cruised along and then got out into the three-wide running line and I got on the back of a couple of horses I was happy to follow into the race. He was always going to be spotting them a start, but that's his style. He was brilliant when he unleashed down the middle."
The wind: "It's blowing in their faces down the back and going through to the corner, so it probably doesn't hurt having a bit of cover. It is picking up so it might play a part through the day.
"I would like to thank Gary Lechte. He had a big hand in me jumping on this horse today."
Getting Sin To Win across the line: "I don't you can give me too much credit. I was out the back, came out and he was always travelling like he was going to win. He was too good for them."
Found the right race: "He hasn't been running poorly, just finding it hard to win. We drew the outside and went back, that's how he likes to race anyway. He got on the back of those horses in the three-wide line from 1000 (metres) going forward and straightening up he was just way too good for them."
No speed early: "Watching his replays, he likes being ridden that way and from the outside draw that was the only way I was riding him. He went to sleep out the back and gave me a lovely ride. I was surprised he did quicken when I came out and pushed the button straightening. He had a bit of ground to make, but he did it quite easily."
Beaten Jockeys:
Hugh Bowman on the favourite Yonkers: "He was brave considering the run he had."
