Winning Trainer: Anthony & Sam Freedman (rep by Brad Taylor)
"It is fair to say they he's taken us a bit by surprised what he's done. Albeit his form as a colt was pretty good. I think a horse of Nick Ryan's, Mynumerouno, won the Swan Hill race and ahandy horse beat him at Cranbourne so his form was pretty good.
"We've been pleasantly surprised with what he has done as a gelding.
"He's had a tough prep. He took on the older horses with big weights and you can see he's not a big horse himself so we'll just see how he pulls up. He's a credit to the whole system really.
"He does back down to the farm after a run and he's back up to Flemington leading into his races.
"It is a thrill to train a winner in these colours on a race day like this. They're big supporters of the industry and big supporters of our stable. It's great."
Winning Jockey: Jamie Kah
"I just said to the owners that I think he's the fastest horse out of the gates that I've ridden. I used the whip last time he raced.
"He's very speedy and I rode him last prep and I thought, 'this horse wont get over 1000 metres - no way, but today he proved me wrong and he could probably almost get over 1200 now.
"He's furnished into a nice racehorse."
Endurance: "I was mindful over the last furlong, but he never gave me any doubt today. He was very strong on the turn. He did come back to me early and he settled but there was not getting passed him on the line."
