Winning Trainer: Nick Ryan
On the horse: "I think he's won four or five for us now, he's been a terrific horse. We were a bit disappointed at Bendigo, we thought he was a bit plain but we forgave him second up and elected to keep him fresh and at 1200m. I didn't do much with him between runs, just kept him really fresh."
What's next: "We've got The Anniversary Vase next Saturday, he's a chance to back up. There's also an open 1400m at Warrnambool, we'll wait and see. He's only third up today, he's got a fair few runs left in him. There's also maybe the Goodwood in Adelaide if we want to raise the bar."
Winning Jockey: Billy Egan
How the race unfolded: "It all worked out, I was very happy with the way he began, he can sometimes be a bit tardy away. We wanted to be on the back of Frosty (Damian Lane) on Lombardo and tracking him and using him as a bunny as long as we could.
"He usually hangs in a little bit, when I got to the outside of Frosty I already had the whip in the left hand and moved it back to the right."
"Once I got it through he was half thinking about it but the last 100 he grabbed him up and I threw everything I had at him."
Replacing Rhys McLeod: "Nick (Ryan) has thrown me a few bones lately, so whatever Rhys can't ride hopefully I can get on. Unfortunately Rhys couldn't make it today but they're a good team so whatever scraps I get is good enough for me."
