Winning Trainer: Desleigh Forster
Pre-race tactics: "I said all the talk was about how much speed was in the race and Jimmy said 'what do we do'? I just said, 'look, she'll probably jump and go'. He said, I'll just right her how she lands. If they go quick, I'll box seat, if they don't and they let her lead, I'll lead."
Thoughts on the win: "The really good thing about it is was when that horse came up to her today, she kicked and found more. She is just a little bombproof filly. She switches off and just does what she needs to do."
Exo Lady's association with Jim Byrne: "If she was caught three deep it didn't matter. He has so much confidence in her and he rides her all of the time when he is at the track, fast, slow work. He might be in love with her."
Winning Jockey: Jim Byrne
Thoughts on how the race unfolded: "That didn't go to plan at all. I'm sitting there hoping Steady Ready would go and he didn't go."
"She's so calm normally but she was quite excitable today and even in her trial, if you have a look at her in the Listed race she won (Calaway Gal), she was very tardy away and didn't really jump into speed real quick. But as soon as she got fresh again, she had those fresh legs on her. She's pretty fast. I was pretty happy to concede, but unfortunately it just didn't turn that way."
Thoughts on Exo Lady: "I've always liked her and I said that I thought she was a pretty nice horse. This was a nice field and there's bigger things for her to come. I'm just glad for the owners and glad for Des (Desleigh Forster)."
