2022 AD HOLLINDALE STAKES – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS
Strong early tempo with Dashing Willoughby, Zaaki and Ayrton matching motors ahead of Hail Manhattan and Maximal. ZAAKI (1) is the class runner who set this carnival alight last year. Big winner of the Flemington All Star Mile two runs back then looked to have the Queen Elizabeth in the bag only for Think It Over to find the fast lane and blouse him late. Too good for this field.
AYRTON (3) is the new kid on the block. Heavily supported late and burst through a gap to win first up in the G3 Victoria Hcp over 1400m at Caulfield. Big step up in trip and class but he is untapped and comes from one of the form stables in the country. HUETOR (9) caught the eye when a closing third over 1400m at Randwick first up recently. Has never contested a black-type race so he needs to lift, but is a work in progress for the Snowdens.
Mudlark POLLY GREY (12) made a mess of her rivals in the JRA Plate over 2000m at Randwick three weeks ago. Might be hard to run down if the track deteriorates. COVENTINA BAY (11) brings strong G1 form here from NZ. One for the multiples.
