Winning Trainer: Gary Duncan

Thoughts on the win: "She is good enough to be there and that will probably boost her value as a broodmare."

Pre-race thoughts: "She's been unlucky first up (in the past) but she has probably working better than ever. We were pretty sure she would go alright."

On Ben Thompson finding the right part of the track: "He said he'd get out there. He rode her well - perfect."

Future plans: "Not really, we'll just look for something similar – fillies and mares races. There's a couple of them coming up so we'll find something"

Winning Jockey: Ben Thompson

Thoughts in run: "She helped me a lot. We were aided by a really nice barrier, barrier three, and the race panned out as nice as we could have hoped. Kerrin McEvoy, I thought he was on one of the main horses to beat (Café Royal) and it's lobbed one out and one back and I was out three back following him. I was going so well and in this ground, I couldn't ride her too cute. She's got a really sharp turn of foot, so I didn't want to ride her to make her dour but at the same time, I didn't want to expect her to sit in sprint. I just cruised up until the 300m under her own steam."

Thoughts on the win: "I'm sure if I had been further back. She still would've won pretty well. It is well deserved blacktype and for a great group of connections. I've had a few goes on her now so it's nice to finally win on her."

Thoughts on Gary "Jack" Duncan: "When he takes the horse to town, they're not here to make up numbers. He is a very, very good trainer and obviously deserves all the success that he gets."
