"It is very good to see him back in the winners' stalls. He was very unlucky last start. He was caught back without cover, got back and couldn't get out.
"He pulled up very well and James has been happy with him all week.
"Putting the blinkers back on him, he's won with them here before and won over 1800 metres so the step up to 1600 was always going to help."

"He was pretty stiff the other day, I thought. He got held up at a vital stage and he got going when it was all over.
"I wasn't too concerned with the run. I knew I was on the right horse but I had it in the back of my head that I didn't want to hit him. He found plenty riding without the whip. I had that in the back of my head and it paid dividends.
"He's a big horse. He likes to be left alone and get into a rhythm like he was able to do today."
First winner for James Cummings: "I haven't had a lot of luck for him and to get the luck today gets the monkey off the back."
