Former Victorian galloper Shootoose made it two wins from three South Australian starts beating Solar Blast before talented mare Wonderwomen found winning form with the blinkers on.

"Six winners out of the last five weeks, to get the first metro double is something special,' Aaron Bain said.

"We copped a little bit of heat for taking her (Wonderwomen) to Melbourne, we've got no regrets.

"Again it was a peach of a ride by Jacob (Opperman).

"We felt she needed them (blinkers), we'd toyed with the idea before, but she was racing so well,'' he said.

The winner was strapped by Brendan Vorster, the son of gun jockey Barend, who is still sidelined and been a key member of the stable.

"Barend loves this horse and his lad loves her more,'' Bain said

"The sooner we can get him (Barend) back out there, it will be better for the sport as a whole,'' he said.

Fellow apprentice Ben Price had a winning double getting Magnetic Edge home for the John Hickmott and Carrina Riggs stable early in the day and Fancify for Michael Hickmott.

Sairyn Fawke claimed riding honours at Saturday's non-TAB meeting at Ceduna winning the opening two races aboard Romper Stomper for Trent Allen and the Garret Lynch-trained Riched.

While Brett Campbell claimed Sunday's Clare Cup feature with Dazzling Prospect who continued his good form with Dom Touneur in the saddle.

"Country Cups are just awesome, you can win your city races but there is something special about Country Cups,'' Campbell said.

Kate Walters had a big day on her home track at Mount Gambier on Friday with three consecutive  wins in combination with her dad Wayne Walters.

And over the border at Warrnambool on Sunday South Australian stayer Staying Strong claimed the Jericho Cup Consolation.
