Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for November 21.
Australian Thoroughbred meetings today are held at Queanbeyan, Taree, Kilmore, Swan Hill, Townsville, Clare, Belmont and Alice Springs.
KILMORE: RACE 8 @ 5:45 PM
Redwood Rising (1) looks ready to show his best coming off an excellent third last start when not having the best of luck. He's won two form three third up including last preparation over this trip. He gets the Blinkers off and although he'll give them a start he has the right jokey to put him into the race when required. ROYAL VOLLEY (3) impressed when winning easily last start out in front. Although he's struggled in this grade in the past, he looks to get conditions to suit and should take catching again. MILESTONE (6) wasn't disgraced in a good race last start behind Indiana Lilly who went on to win the Kyneton Cup. He looks ready to show his best. PACKER'S BOND (2) can be forgiven for last start and a better reference is his form prior. Back each way. SELECTIONS: Redwood Rising looks ready to win.

QUEANBEYAN: RACE 6 @ 4:25 PM
A competitive Cup and luck in the run is sure to play a part. Upper House (1) peaks off the near miss at 1400m in a rich Open and last time at the middle distance was beaten 4L in the Wagga Cup. Cahill sticking on a 9-day return is a positive but trust is required. TOBERMORY (4) won the Canberra 72 at the mile on a heavy track and hasn't raced better. He also draws out but is worth a look first go at the distance. NIECES AND NEPHEWS (7) will get the run of the race and that could make the difference. SELECTIONS: Backing Upper House.
SWAN HILL: RACE 6 @ 4:10 PM
Otelo (3) raced handy to the speed and did a good job to break through at first outing for new stable. That should give him the confidence to go on with it here. Take tossing. STEEL THE MOMENT (1) has been around the mark in recent assignments. Fit and looks a threat in this line-up. NOBLE NIGHTOWL (2) has been a little plain since Echuca placing three starts back. Drawn reasonably here and is worthy of thought. HIGH DELTA (7) doesn't win out of turn but is not opposed to a strong line-up here. Can fill a place from good draw. SELECTIONS: Back Otelo to win.
TOWNSVILLE: RACE 2 @ 1:15 PM
Smarty Lee (4) was doing his best work late when a beaten favourite at his first run in Queensland but by that time the bird had flown. He should be much better with that run under his belt and should make amends here. Follow your money. ROLL THE BEANS (2) finished his last preparation with a nice third on this track and was then put aside to mature. He is fresh up today and with the benefit of a 3kg claim should be running on strongly. Watch closely. SARANDOS (3) is an ex Waterhouse and Bott trained runner and showed good ability in NSW. He usually comes to hand quickly and won't be far away. Include in all multiples. WHOBETHATNOW (5) showed his true worth in his only run last preparation when finishing runner up. He has had a quiet trial leading into this and should be raring to go fresh up. Consider for all combinations. SELECTIONS: Smarty Lee win.
BELMONT PARK: RACE 4 @ 3:10 PM
Freedomofthepress (1) spiked his figures beaten a half-length at Ascot. Draws for a soft run and just has to hold that form to be winning. GRATIAS DEO (2) resumes and placed all three runs last campaign. Has trialled well and will have come on. A danger. CAFE NERA (9) wasn't beaten far here first-up off Listed and Group races over longer trips. Will be better later but rates well and needs to be kept onside. ALLEGIANCE (10) needed the first-up outing and gets the blinkers first time. Won't be far away finding her best. SELECTIONS: With Freedomofthepress.
CLARE: RACE 7 @ 5:03 PM
Free Of Sin (4) has been racing in tougher company recently and wasn't beaten far in the city last start. She drops in distance for this and looks well placed after the 1.5kg apprentice claim. Hard to beat from the handy draw. GATSBY'S GIRL (5) went around at huge odds fresh up and was fair in finishing fifth, she should improve immensely with that run under her belt and has yet to finish out of the money second up. The extra distance here is ideal and she won't be far away. PHILLYVONNE (2) could not have been more impressive when winning on debut, franking her solid trial form. She has another wide draw to contend with and is also up 4kgs in weight but with plenty of upside she shouldn't be held in this grade for long. SELECTIONS: Free Of Sin win bet.
ALICE SPRINGS: RACE 5 @ 5:30 PM
Bench Press (1) has won 2/3 this preparation and spaced them this grade the latest. Has the weight lift but keeps the top hoop and reaches peak fitness. Can go right on with it. VALIANT LAD (4) is ex Sydney and quickly found form beaten a nose second-up. Has more to give and is a danger with the extra fitness. MAZY MOTION (3) won the 58 well but then found Bench Press too good after. Covered the others and is a quinella chance again. RADIO ROOM (2) may be best of the rest. SELECTIONS: Sticking with Bench Press.
