SANDOWN LAKESIDE: RACE 4 @ 1:05PM

Good early speed from Feared Eyes, Cataracta and Big Suzie drawn nearer the inside while Honey Esprit and Zoophoria will look to cross from wider out. Pinyin (10) has only missed a place at this distance once including two wins one of which came at this track. She finished only 2.25 lengths behind the progressive Sylvia's Mother last start in Saturday grade. That form reads well for this. She's drawn well and should be hard to beat. PEKO (3) disappointed last start in higher grade. Her form prior was excellent and off a let up she can improve. FEARED EYES (7) is open to further improvement third up and is worth watching. GINA'S HOPE (12) ran up to her good first up stats last start and is a winner second up. ZUBERINA (4) is an interesting runner having finished third to Mystic Journey last start prior to a spell having won three on the trot prior to that. She's won first up before and is a big watch. SUGGESTED PLAY: Pinyin has the form.

MT GAMBIER: RACE 4 @ 3:20PM

Dream Brother can come over and lead. Dream Brother (2) resumed off a close-up effort at Sandown leading and winning the Albury Maiden by 3.5L, heavily-backed on a deep track. He is even better on the dry and can control this and can go right on with it. JOHN THE RODENT (3) was an 8L heavy track Maiden winner here three weeks ago as favourite making sharp improvement. The shorter trip suited and he has to be given a good chance again. APPROVED ANGER (4) resumed on the synthetic improved and defying the market. He was wide throughout and can improve off that. PRESS ON (7) resumes and enjoys this track and trip. Keep her safe. SUGGESTED PLAY: #2 Dream Brother has the figures to win again.

SUNSHINE COAST: RACE 3 @ 2:30PM

Red Balter may lead, but it's not clear cut. Tactical Manuever (8) brings a string of near misses and the form hasn't gone backwards. He finds a touch easier today and gets another chance using the low draw. KIRIANA (1) has won and just missed the last two at this track/distance and peaks today. He may have to find another length to top the above but that's not out of the question. RISING KING (6) made sharp improvement here three weeks ago winning the CL2. He hasn't visited this trip before, but the racing style suggests it will suit. RED BALTER (2) led and returned to his best at Doomben folding up late from the speed. He has to show he can run out the 1800m strongly. SUGGESTED PLAY: #8 Tactical Manuever gets his chance.

GUNDAGAI: RACE 5 @ 3:35PM

Eskimo Commander and Working Together look the lead pair. Fabulous Fran (3) is primed to strike for Matt Dale. Beaten a whisker on the home track at Canberra most recently. No star but she's an honest type. McDougall takes over. Holds more scope than these and should dictate this race on her terms. PARTY GLOW (4) isn't hopeless. Won well at Cessnock last start. Widely travelled. Confidence at a high and with luck from the wide alley she can give this a shake. NOTHING (10) did enough first-up. Needs to go up a notch here but is fitter. Can sneak into the placings. ESKIMO COMMANDER (1) from an astute stable can give a sight on the speed. SUGGESTED PLAY: Fabulous Fran straight out.

MUSWELLBROOK: Race 3 @ 2:10PM

Speed drawn right across the track. Iconic Star (7) was tested against the big boys last start but came up short. She impressed winning at Scone prior to that. Back to her right grade here. Will land straight on the bunny from the soft draw. Should take plenty of catching. EMPEROR'S STAR (6) cracked the maiden at Scone latest, leading for the entire. Untapped. Can certainly go on.  ROYAL ECLIPSE (8) was faultless in her initial preparation. Resumes in a winnable contest. 8L trial winner at Wyong recently. Drawn awkwardly but is a racy type who should make her presence felt. CHEVRON PRINCE (4) was beaten by the barrier last start. Place claims. SUGGESTED PLAY: Competitive race. Market should paint the picture. Iconic Star will be close-up.
