Five TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Wednesday at Kensington, Sandown, Ipswich, Belmont & Gawler.

Randwick Kensington: Race 6 @ 4:20pm

Plenty of pace on show here with Leningrad to the fore. DANAWI (14) found the line with purpose to finish 3rd in a strong Saturday race at Rosehill over 1400m last start. Also accepted for a longer race earlier in the card but Tim Martin has elected to come here. Ideally placed back at the midweekers and will be at his peak fourth up today. ROCK (2) has always promised a lot and looks ready to deliver this prep. Resumed a fortnight ago over 1250m at Canterbury and after settling midfield made short work of his rivals. Scored second up last prep and looks a great chance to do the same today. JUVENTUS (4) will also be hard to beat after storming home to get up right on the mirror first up over 1200m at Warwick Farm last time out. Lightly raced five-year-old who generally maintains the form second up. This looks a shade tougher but he will be hard to hold out again. LENINGRAD (6) was nailed by Juventus at the Farm last time. Has only raced four times so there is a stack of room for improvement, particularly over an extra 100m today. SELECTIONS:

Sandown: Race 6 @ 3:55pm

Plenty of promising types here. EXCUSED (9) scored an impressive debut win then tested in stakes class latest and ran on hard. Go close. Ratings riser. DEFENCE ATTORNEY (15) is a definite chance here after running on hard to score fresh. Worth consideration. LAKE'S FOLLY (2) scored an impressive debut win then put away. Fitter for a trial. Expected to prove a leading chance. ECLAIR BREEZE (8) is fitter for two trials and placed both fresh up runs. Could find best.  SELECTIONS: Excused can bounce back this class.

Ipswich: Race 7 @ 4:00pm

She Keeps Nosecret, Countess Mia and Eric Piper will be prominent from the get-go. TRAIL OF GLORY (5) can win this at best and should be ready to show it following the solid return this venue. He gets Byrne for the apprentice and the blinkers go on first time. SHE ZA BOSS (4) made a ratings spike winning the 60 at the Sunshine Coast as expected. That stacks right up and she’ll get every chance from the handy gate. SHE KEEPS NOSECRET (1) steps-up following the first up country win. The former Victorian is seeking the hat-trick and can’t be dismissed lightly. EPIC PIPER (3) won first-up and is back improved. She’s in the mix.  SELECTIONS: #5 Trail Of Glory looks the bet at the each way odds.

Gawler: Race 6 @ 4:45pm

Big Call can lead with a decent jump from Hahndorf. ROTHMOORE (3) presents of solid efforts in stronger city races. The effort two back reads particularly well and he gets his chance with winning rider Holder reunited. UNSCOPEABLE (7) deserved the easy win this grade at Balaklava. He should have the speed to manage the wide gate and is a genuine hope again with the claim. HAHNDORF (9) has placed three times since the win and is holding his figures. He can come over and stalk the lead and should be right in it again. ANGEL'S WISH (12) has been knocking on the door and also deserves consideration. SELECTIONS: Some very open contests at Gawler today. #3 Rothmore appeals at the each way quote.

Chris Waller-trained Subpoenaed is a promising filly, now with two wins and a second from three starts. She was eased from a wide barrier, was last nearing the home turn and then came with a strong, late finish (wide out) to win well. Mark Newnham-trained filly Celestial Falls raced beyond mid-field, went deep coming to the home turn and kept finishing well for a very good second in a smart effort, resuming here.
