Kyneton Race 8 @ 4:40pm

Good pace in the Cup with Appmat, Tre Dieci and Brigadier all capable of leading. PACODALI (1) has been terrific both runs back in Listed and Group company and has won four times at middle distances. A sense of timing about him and is sure to take beating. DOUBLE YOU TEE (3) has won the last four and with the latest was by a space in an Open at The Valley. Draws to sit closer today and no surprise if he kept things rolling. MIDTERM (2) may not get back to his very best, but is going well enough to get into the finish. KILIMANJARO (5) can improve third-up for the sharp yard and GUNDOWN (4) will be looking to build on the impressive Moe win. SELECTION: #1 Pacodali gets the nod in a good contest.

Grafton Race 3 @ 3.10pm

Shy Boy and Line Up Girls can roll forward. SHY BOY (6) caught the eye last start when he chimed in late to be beaten just a length over 1010m at Murwillumbah. Very fit now after two runs back and will appreciate the slightly longer trip. TACTICAL MOVE (8) is a Dissident colt on debut for the Edmonds stable. Won a recent Beaudesert trial so looks ready to run well. Respect any market support from this astute stable. LINE UP GIRLS (3) struggled to finish midfield on a heavy track first up over 1010m at Port Macquarie recently. Form is far better with less give in the ground so can improve sharply on that performance. Watch for any betting support for the unraced ON TOP ONCE MORE (5) who has not trialled publicly. SELECTION: Keen on #6 Shy Boy over the longer trip.

Port Lincoln Race 8 @ 6:05pm (AEDT)
Storm Voyager and Social Media can run them along. STORM VOYAGER (5) resumes and has won 3/5. She's promising and should be tough to beat. AVORA SUN (6) can stalk and has just missed the two runs back. Was favourite the latest and is a winning chance with the weight drop. MIRTHDALE (4) improved missing a nose in the 60, 10 days ago. He's certainly a player with a repeat of that. SOCIAL MEDIA (9) is on the improve and won't be far away. SELECTION: The late market will be instructive. #5 Storm Voyager ($5.5 at time of writing) will take beating if presented forward.

Launceston Race 4 @ 7.35pm

A very keen early contest with Heaven's Bonus, Mystical Warrior and Sirene Stryker locking horns. The scratching of a highly fancied stablemate opens this right up for MYSTICAL WARRIOR (3). Started in the red on debut over 1150m at Devonport synthetic back in April and crushed his rivals by 5.5 lengths in a powerful front-running display. Has not raced since but a couple of strong recent trials suggest he is on target. HEAVEN'S BONUS (2) closed last prep with a couple of wins at this circuit over longer trips. Will be better for the run but is too good to rule out. SIRENE STRYKER (4) started favourite on debut over this course and distance three weeks ago and led all the way to win by half a length. Meets some very smart sprinters this evening but is still in the mix. STILL A STAR (5) is a model of consistency and is worth an each-way ticket first up from a spell. SELECTION: #3 Mystical Warrior looks very smart and should be winning again.
