There is a bit of a lull after the Masters Series events at Ascot with only eight races on.

There is a promising mare first up in Race 6 and she might just be better than the rivals to be able to overcome the fitness difference.

Inspirational Girl is bred to want further than this being by Reliable Man. She may be a Perth Cup horse in 12 months.

But the real positive for this week is that she managed to win on debut over 1200m back in May so can go early.

Hard to knock any Williams/Pike/Peters horses and she can land in a good spot from a decent draw.

Is a big watch going forward too.

Onto the last where Flower Of War is another first upper and she tries to turn around the Miller stable run of close defeats.

She was winning races over the shorter courses and then was tried over further in an attempt to get the mile of the Belmont Guineas.

That didn't work so this looks a very nice race to kick off in.

Many of these have had plenty of chances and from the draw, she can work forward quickly and gain some control.
