Those relying on a few last minute stocking fillers go into Saturday's meeting at Randwick under a bit of pressure, however it looks a good betting card and hoping a few winners can be found.
Generally don't like to bet in TAB Highways, however found it hard not to get involved with the Matthew Dunn trained Badoosh creating plenty of interest.
Only lightly raced, he brought up his first career win at the Gold Coast last start when far too good fresh.
Displaying good ability in six starts prior, Badoosh was only narrowly beaten on three occasions and it was no surprise to see him breakthrough in such good style.
Kicking off over 1100m, Badoosh was a touch out-paced early with Fradd happy to settle towards the rear.
Travelling well into the straight, Badoosh did give his rivals a fair start, before letting rip down the outside.
Putting the race away in a few strides, he was very soft on the line and returned decent figures in the process.
Marked up to his peak, he remains open to good improvement second up and is sure to appreciate the step up in trip.
Concede Eiger is also a nice horse, however Badoosh has put up form ahead of him to this point.
Hoping he can settle closer (did race on-speed over 1400m two back) and with even luck, Badoosh does look hard to beat.
Team Snowden did the right thing by us with Signore Fox last weekend and hoping Smartedge can do the same on Saturday.
Having gone out a winner (also a new career peak), Smartedge returned in a big way last start when closing off well behind Toryjoy.
Marked up to his peak on that occasion, he is back better than ever and confident he can springboard off that performance on Saturday.
Always a bit tricky to be overly confident with get back types, however in the small field he should be within striking distance on straightening and appears very well placed at the weights.
The in-form Tommy Berry sticks aboard and with the right run, he should be storming home over the top.
