Six TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Friday at Port Macquarie, Mornington, Moonee Valley, Toowoomba, Port Lincoln & Canberra.

Moonee Valley: Race 7 @ 9:30pm

Bumper edition of the Australia Stakes. HEY DOC (1) was utterly superb in the Winterbottom last start. Crossed to lead from the wide alley and was never in any doubt in the run home. He's been set for this. Is a G1 winner at this venue and does appear to have the wood on his key dangers who resume. MICROPHONE (9) is one of those. He was disappointing it must be said in the Roman Consul behind Cosmic Force. 3yo Colt taking on some hardened topliners won't be easy but he should be up to it. SCALES OF JUSTICE (2) has been a marvel. He's back for another preparation. Bletchingly & Memsie winner in the Spring. He's a weapon fresh but how will he handle MV?. BEGOOD TOYA MOTHER (4) put his doubters to sleep  winning the Rupert Clarke. Again, he hasn't seen this track before but with his high cruising speed if he can pinch a few lengths on straightening expect him to take some running down. MANUEL (3) has pinched a G1 in the past when looking out of form. Exotics chance. SELECTIONS: Hey Doc for the win.

Port Macquarie: Race 5 @ 3:45pm

Casino Delight to run them along at a decent pace. ANIMATE (2) has not raced since winning a 1350m Beaumont maiden on 5 September. Missed by a whisker on debut at his only other appearance. Has been gelded since last prep and trialled well at Wyong recently so is ready to pick up where he left off. CASINO DELIGHT (3) followed a comfortable Kempsey maiden win two runs back with a plain effort at Coffs Harbour last time. Usually a reliable mare so might be worth another chance. RIOLI (1) struggled in a 1200m Highway at Randwick last start. Fitter for two runs back from a spell and is better placed back in this company. BRAZEN GYPSY (4) is first up since collecting his maiden over this trip at Grafton on 29 October. Drawn okay and should sprint well while fresh. SELECTIONS: Keen on #2 Animate first up.

Toowoomba: Race 3 @ 5.55pm (AEDT)

THE EGYPTIAN (4) steps out for his first run in Queensland after switching stables. Was racing well in Victoria with top-four finishes at his past four starts including a Bairnsdale win. Can measure up. MOCKING (12) made a pleasing return when she found the line well for second at Warwick. She can progress off that. SOUBRETTE (10) showed ability at her maiden campaign where she won on debut so can go well fresh. GLOBAL FACTOR (9) is one to keep an eye on resuming. SELECTIONS: #4 The Egyptian for the win at his Queensland debut.

Port Lincoln: Race 7 @ 6:00pm

Emoji can lead and there will be a number on pace behind. I'M BULLETPROOF (7) just missed at the provincial 19 days ago and that’s clearly the best recent figure presenting. Race handy and the well-bred gelding will take beating. ABBI FEDE (1) has been racing well and comes to this trip for the first time. Gets a low gate and can be right in the finish. EMOJI (2) has won and placed the last two from the speed and expect him to see it right out again. DANCE OF HEROES (3) has claims forgiving the latest. SELECTIONS: We may get each way odds about #I’m Bulletproof.

Canberra: Race 7 @ 6:15pm

It’s not clear who will make the speed. A very open Federal with the better chances back from spells. ELM COURT (7) resumes and is one that will race on-pace. Only had one heavily-backed run last preparation and disappointed. She has strong city form in the CV and has won a trial in preparation for this. In good hands and a bold run is likely. PRINCE JACKO (1) brings strong form at this level to resumption and with McDougal sticking expect him to be ready to go for the in-form local yard . MOOKAREENA (12) has three runs last preparation and didn’t fire at all. She is good enough and Reith’s booking interests. A forward run isn’t out of the question. POLYXENA (6) is sharp fresh and gets a handy 3kg claim. Has figures to suggest she can make the finish. SELECTIONS: #7 Elm Court looks a bet, but want to see late market support.

Dual Group 1 winner Scales Of Justice staged a very good first-up effort, proving a credit to his trainer Lindsey Smith in taking out this Group 2 race in good style. Having his first start since September, he began well from his good barrier (2) and settled nicely behind the leader (Hey Doc) tracking a quick tempo. Rider Dean Yendall forced a split halfway down the straight and he then finished strongly for a very good win. Hey Doc, having his first start since his brilliant win in the Winterbottom Stakes (Gr 1, 1200m) at Ascot in November, again went to the front. He was then pressured in the lead (by Ashlor) and after setting a quick pace, he did well in fighting gamely for second. Embrace Me settled in second-last place in the eight-runner field, commenced a wide move rounding the home turn and she then kept running on in good style for third, in a very good second-up effort. Ringerdingding raced in last place, stuck to the inner coming to the home turn and kept making ground along the rails for (1.2 lengths) fourth in a promising first-up run. Of the others, Ashlor raced outside the leader (Hey Doc) and did very well in holding on for (2.5 lengths) fifth, while the colt Microphone raced in sixth place, one off the rails, and was under pressure at the home turn before rallying to a degree over the latter stages to hold (2.7 lengths) sixth placing
